Savoury Mince & Pasta

250g Spiral Pasta (I just halve a 500g packet)

1-2 tablespoons olive oil
500g beef mince (you could use any type of mince you like)
1 large carrot, grated
1 medium zucchini, grated
1 medium onion, diced
1-2 garlic cloves, crushed & slices
1-2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1-2 tablespoons tomato sauce
1 tablespoon barbecue sauce
1 tablespoon sweet chilli sauce
salt & pepper (to taste)

2-3 tablespoons gravy mix
1 cup water

Cook pasta as per directions on the packet.

While the pasta is cooking place the oil, garlic & onion in a heavy based pan & cook for around two minutes. Add the mince & brown. (You can drain the meat at this stage, on some kitchen paper, if you wish so that its not too oily/greasy)

Add the carrot & zucchini. Cook for around 5 minutes. Add the sauces, salt & pepper.

Mix the gravy mix and water together. Then add it to the meat mixture.

Once the pasta is cooked (or slightly under cooked) drain & add it to the meat mixture. Stir until all the pasta is coated.

**If the mince doesn't look like it is saucy enough you can add some more water or more gravy mix if it isn't thick enough.

** you can add other vegetables if you wish.

My other half loves pasta too. I hope you do get to try this one. We hardly ever have any left overs with this dish :)

Thanks for coming by my blog and commenting. You really should try the ceasar salad. They really are good. I like mine with onions though. ;) Many people like to add chicken too.

It looks like you have some great recipies here. I am now following you.

Naila, Caesar salad does sound nice. I saw a pre-made packet in the supermarket yesterday. I almost bought it but that would be cheating wouldn't it?
Thanks for your nice words.
