Millsy's Chilli

Last night we had the Missionaries from our Church over for dinner. Elder Mills wanted to prepare a chilli dish for us. So I bought all the ingredients so that he could cook it for us. It's a super quick meal and one that we absolutely loved. I know that we will have this one again. We made enough for 6 people and there was only a small amount left over at the end of the meal.

Ingredients:
2 x 425g cans of Stagg Chilli
2 x 425g cans of baked beans (I used SPC their sauce tastes better)
1 x 420g can of 4 bean mix
1 x 420g can sweet corn
5 ham steaks, cut into 2cm cubes
3/4 or 1 cup brown sugar (do a taste test before you put the whole lot in)
1 cup sliced jalapenos (about half a jar)
1 tablespoon crushed garlic

(optional) 500g diced beef which I placed in the slow cooker for about 6 hours with some diced onion. I wanted to make sure that there was enough meat in the chilli for 6 people as the cans don't always have a lot in them.

All you need to do is mix all of the ingredients together in a large pot and heat through. It takes about 10 - 15 minutes to get it really hot and bubbly.

Serve with cornbread muffins & boiled rice.
